CS6 Crashes when closing files.

I've just recently installed CS6 onto a MacBook Air - Sierra 10.12, having had it previously on Yosemite with absolutely no problems. It's started crashing whenever I close  a file I've been working on. It seemed to be ok until I opened a file from a hard rive and tried to copy and paste a path from that file into one I was working on. Since then it crashes every time I close a file. The report tells me nothing, other than that it has found 'a workaround'.. but nothing else. Any ideas?

I believe it's a known compatibility issue you can't escape. At this point even CS6 is getting old...
