Hello David,

Unfortunately you've left out information necessary to diagnose your problem. Please let us know:

OS Version Number:

Lightroom Classic Version Number: (Help>System Info…)

Import source: Card? Camera? Hard Disk location?

Error messages?

It is possible that an uninstall/reinstall will help you and that your issues are due to a bad installation. If you choose to go that way, your catalogs should remain untouched. HOWEVER a backup is always prudent!

Hello Axel

Thank for your answer

( reset the Lightroom preferences.) this solution does not seem simple to me, but I can try (my English is bad)

I just want to be sure that in case of mistake it will not affect my catalog

( deactivate the GPU support ) I think my graphics card is good because my mac is recent should I really do that ?

I could try that after uninstall/reinstall LR classic ?

Sorry a'm so bad in this kind of problem

Whether the graphics card is good or bad does not matter here, because there could be some incompatibilities between LR and the graphic driver. So deactivate the support and try again.

Resetting the LR preferences doesn't have any effects to you catalog.

If you don't have other issues you can reactive the GPU support.

There are a lot of entries in the relevant forums with the same problem. Take a look here:

Lightroom CC Classic crashes during import

Lightroom Classic CC: Unable to Import Photos into new catalog without crash | Photoshop Family Cust...

I don't use a Mac, I'm using Windows, so I don't have so much experience about this operating system.
