My project hangs - becomes unresponsive - when I attempt to import an image or topic. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

Do you get the dialog to browse your hard drive for the image or topic, or does RH hang immediately upon your clicking the option to import and the Browse dialog never appears?

If the second case is happening, have you recently used a dual monitor configuration, including using a projector? It's possible that the Browse window is in fact opening, just off your screen.

You can correct this by going back to that configuration and doing an import, moving everything on to the correct screen, then switch back to the single monitor so that things show up there.

I don't think it's possible to move dialog boxes with the same controls as full windows, but you could try it. See Rick's response in another thread. I use that forceWindowVisible utility myself, and it works for pulling dialog boxes back into view.

Hope this helps,

Ben

Ben,

Thank you so much. I used forceWindowVisible and found the window. Works fine now.
Great advice.
