__Anyone know where I can get simple 3D models?
I know this isn't the correct forum, but I really need simple 3D objects (hopefully for free), like rounded hockey puck shapes or cones

A goolgle search will find you many models. A hockey puck Cylinder is built into Photohop and some other basic objects.

however, I guess I should clarify - I want a 3D model that could go into a 3D program... (not just Illustrator or Photoshop) Thanks

You can export Photoshop models built from meshes or extrusions in standard 3D formats such as obj or dae for use in other applications. Just use 3D export 3D layer
For other model sites just Google.

If you want to build 3D models IMO you should use an application that is designed the be a 3D application. Like sketchup, blender, 3D Max etc not Photoshop. Photoshop's 3d feature is more or less a basic 3D add on.. Good to thing like patching Spherical Panorama, and adding basic 3d object and text to your 2d images these object can be manipulated in 3D space in Photoshop in your 2D document. You can Also animate 3D object in video timeline.
