Error Combining Multiple PDFs

I tried to drag and drop multiple PDFs into a single file, but was given this notice:

Combine the files as portfolio.

For the projects I need to complete, creating a portfolio is not an option.

You need to go over the files and check which one of them causes this issue. It could be because the file is secured, or digitally signed, or was created using LiveCycle Designer, or saved as PDF/A, etc.

I started having the same problem recently. I've tried all the solutions, including checking file security, digital signatures, etc. It happens with all Word files regardless of the origin. Including Word files that I was previously able to combing into a single PDF. And it happens with both .docx and .doc files.  I have to regularly combine anywhere from 30 to 50 or 60 Word documents into a single PDF and really need a solution to this problem.
