Hey guys. I just upgrade do cc2018 (which is great) but now, anytime i import a photo it shows up at a thumbnail size. Its a big pain to have to resize every single photo. Is there a default setting somewhere that will allow imported photos to be seen at a larger size?
See how tiny it is? Id like it to at least somewhat fill the screen

You can use the shortcut Ctrl+0 to change the view to Fit on Screen.
You can automate this task as follows:
First make an Action of this.
Then use the Scripts Events Manager to have Photoshop perform this action on opening every photo.
Come back if you need more help to achieve this.

You goto File > Scripts > Scrips Events Manager
At the top you check Enable Events to Run Scripts\Actions
In the dropdown of the Photoshop Events you choose Open Document
You check the option Action and choose the name of the set and the action
you made to Fit on Screen (my action is called Zoom Window)
Click Add.
From now on every document you open should fill the screen.

Are you now running on a Retina Monitor Mac and your previous PS version did not?
If so, consider this option:
1. Quit Photoshop if it is open
2. In the Mac Finder, choose the Applications folder
3. In the Applications folder, choose Adobe Photoshop CC2018 snd inside that folder choose Adobe Photoshop CC 2018.app so it is highlighted.
4. Choose Get Info from the File menu
5. Place a checkmark next to "Open in Low Resolution"
