I just bought an SSD to edit on and made a folder in the SSD Drive. In Lightroom i created an SSD folder and put some photos in there. Then i synchronized it with the "EMPTY" (doh) folder in the SSD drive and it deleted the photos in the SSD folder. I ended up finding them in the in Lightroom but all the edits have been deleted from the photos. Can i get the edits back? Cheers

Thanks for you reply. I did what you said and extracted the older backup version... but when i open the catalog, the photos that i think i deleted are missing in the backup file too. The collections folder is there which is great but all the photos have an exclamation mark beside them. I even went back a few backups and it was the same there.

Please help, thanks.

Click on the exclamation mark and tell LR where those files now are.

Then select those photos, and do a File > Export as Catalog - don't include originals or previews. This creates a mini catalogue with the information about the photos. Now open your current catalogue and use File > Import from Another Catalog to bring in the mini catalogue's information.
