When I save a .php page as a template, I always get the extension *.dwt.php. Is this correct or do I delete the .php at the end of page name? I am using Dreamweaver 2018 and on a Windows 10 Computer.

No.  If your template contains PHP code, it should be named with the appropriate extension -- dwt for template and php for the code base.

Yes.  That is the expected file extension for a proprietary Dreamweaver Template with PHP code.   An ordinary HTML template would be just .dwt.

Thanks for getting back so quick. Should I delete the .php at the end of the name or leave it that way. Or, should I create the template in an html page and then use that template on my php pages? Always one more question
