I'm not a technical expert, so I'm not sure how to interpret the system requirements for Photoshop 19.

The existing hardware is:

MacBook Pro 15" early 2011

MC723LL

Intel Core i7 2,2Ghz

2 x 4GB RAM (originally 4GB)

500GB SSD (originally 750GB HDD)

macOS:

High Sierra

Is that hardware compatible to Photoshop 19 (and Indesign 13)?

Thanks for your help.

And does the hardware I mentioned has a "dedicated GPU"?

Let's assume the hardware has not such a GPU:
For which features does CC2018 need it?

In other words: when the user does not need the feature, can he use CC2018 without problems?

Thanks for the links.

As I mentioned above, I'm not a technical expert, so I cannot interpret all these technical informations about hardware. I'm sorry.

For me it is important to know, with which specific functions of PS or ID a user of that hardware will experience such a slow performance, that nobody wants to use it.

If it can run HS without any complaints, you can also run CC 2018. Best idea is to install and try it out. Nice thing about Creative Cloud is that you can install earlier versions, 2017 or 2015.5

I ask for a good friend and he would be glad, if she does not not has to try it out but just know it before.

Is there anyone who has experience with the hardware I mentioned in combination with PS 2018?

Another friend, who runs High Sierra on a MacBook Pro 13" 2015 has problems with PS 2018. She gave up, because it is to slow.
