Editing a psd file

I am new to Photoshop. I have a logo someone wants added to a photograph.  The .psd file I was sent is small and when I attempt to enlarge it, it becomes very blurry.  Is there a way to edit the original .psd logo file to fix this issue? If not, what needs to be done?

Do you know if this logo was originally created in Adobe Illustrator or PS, if it was done in Illustrator you should request the Vector image that way you can increase the size without losing quality.

If the logo was created in PS, it's possible depending on the logo to Trace it in Illustrator and save it as a Vector image

One more possibility is that you got sent a low resolution version of the logo … for whatever reasons.

In any case you should ask whoever provided the logo to provide it in the appropriate quality and size.

What does the logo look like?

Ask for a vector version of the logo and place that in Photoshop.

Format will either be .ai or .eps

Could be a long shot but are there any smart objects in the layers panel linking to an illustrator document?
