Problems intalling Dreamweaver CC

I'm having problems installing Dreameaver CC.

I receive the following error:

Exit Code: 127

-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

- 1 fatal error(s), 4 error(s), 0 warnings(s)

FATAL: Error occurred in extract of package (Name: AdobeDreamweaver18_x64-mul Version: 18.0.0.10136). Error code: '127'

ERROR: Cannot open file 'C:\adobeTemp\ETR9A5D.tmp\1\mul\configuration\Inspectors\template.png' for writing: Error 5 Access is denied.

ERROR: Cannot open file 'C:\adobeTemp\ETR2BB5.tmp\1\mul\configuration\Inspectors\template.png' for writing: Error 5 Access is denied.

ERROR: Cannot open file 'C:\adobeTemp\ETRA3B3.tmp\1\mul\configuration\Inspectors\template.png' for writing: Error 5 Access is denied.

ERROR: Cannot open file 'C:\adobeTemp\ETR2B69.tmp\1\mul\configuration\Inspectors\template.png' for writing: Error 5 Access is denied.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All other CC products install seamlessly. Unfortunately I need dreamweaver (but I'm thinking of buying some other program).

  1. I have uninstalled all Adobe CC.
  2. I have attempted closing all programs and deleting the C:\adobeTemp\ directory.
  3. I have deleted all temp files.
  4. I have run the adobe cleaner utility, cleaning all.
  5. I have reinstalled CC, Illuistrator and Photoshop with no problem.
  6. Dreamweaver CC installation always fails the same way.

Can someone help me?

Thanks

Ok, thanks for the update, Alessandro.  Please do continue to work with your I.T. department if you wish to evaluate Dreamweaver CC in the future.

Hi Alessandrocanepa,

Sorry that you are having trouble installing Adobe Dreamweaver CC app as it fails with Exit code 127 every time you try to install and you have also performed all the basic troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

I would request you to rename the Adobe temp folder at this location "C:\adobeTemp"  and try again.

Share the results with us.

I had deleted "C:\adobeTemp" and it has been created at runtime when I launched the Dreamweaver install.

One of the temporary installation folder was called C:\adobeTemp\ETR5DF2.tmp

Once it stopped the folder ETR5DF2 was deleted and now the adobeTemp folder is empty.

This is the error detail:

Exit Code: 127

-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

- 1 fatal error(s), 4 error(s), 0 warnings(s)

FATAL: Error occurred in extract of package (Name: AdobeDreamweaver18_x64-mul Version: 18.0.0.10136). Error code: '127'

ERROR: Cannot open file 'C:\adobeTemp\ETR69D0.tmp\1\mul\configuration\Inspectors\template.png' for writing: Error 5 Access is denied.

ERROR: Cannot open file 'C:\adobeTemp\ETREF6.tmp\1\mul\configuration\Inspectors\template.png' for writing: Error 5 Access is denied.

ERROR: Cannot open file 'C:\adobeTemp\ETRA491.tmp\1\mul\configuration\Inspectors\template.png' for writing: Error 5 Access is denied.

ERROR: Cannot open file 'C:\adobeTemp\ETR5DF2.tmp\1\mul\configuration\Inspectors\template.png' for writing: Error 5 Access is denied.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What can I try? If I install other products everything goes fine. I can't reinstall the whole OS...

Thanks

Alessandro

I have closed Creative Cloud and ran it as administrator but this doesn't solve the problem.

Alessandrocanepa, from the most recent install log errors it appears the installer is not being given permission to write to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2015\configuration\Inspectors\.  For information on how to resolve the file permission error see Error exit code 6, exit code 7 installing Adobe Creative Cloud .

Once the file permissions are correct then you should be able to install Dreamweaver CC successfully on the Windows computer.

This directory doesn't exist before install:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2015\configuration\Inspectors\

It must be Dreamweaver doesn't like my office PC...

Wasted too much time on it, just giving up. Working with the browser and Sublime Text instead.

Adobe needs some effort on it's install ecosystem, can't require customers to re-install pc os from scratch!

Alessandro, I am sorry that you continue to face errors when installing Dreamweaver CC.  If this computer is a work computer then please work with your I.T. department to install Dreamweaver CC.  Since permission is being denied to create the folder then it is likely the current User account does not have the necessary permissions.

Hi Jeff, thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately I have tried with my company IT and we haven't been able to solve the problem. I have admin credentials and of all the CC suite only Dreamweaver has this problem (current and previous versions). We tried running CC as Admin, still broken.

They suggested to re-install the whole OS because they think its related to some kind of subtle copy protection.

I'm not willing to do this and luckily the good and indispensable products from Adobe work.

I can live without Dreamweaver and have spent already too much time on this issue.
