Hi Ganesh,

Since their is no textual difference in between two files, so compare shows no difference.

If you wish to see visual difference, then please follow below mentioned steps:

  1. Launch Acrobat Pro
  2. Go to Tools pane
  3. Select Compare Files
  4. Select File1 and File2 and input files
  5. Go to Settings (snapshot one)One.jpg
  6. Select 'scanned documents' in Document Description (snapshot two)Two.jpg
  7. Now Compare

I hope this helps, do let me know if you need more support here.

Thanks,

Hi Charu

We did not get our expected result, I compare the 2 pdf (check for pdf compare_Visual1, and check for pdf compare_Visual) and compare report for the same. There is a line movement in 3rd paragraphs but it not shown in the compare report.

But if we do in Acrobat 7 for visual compare it will shows the changes. Its is possible to fix it in Acriobat DC

Hi Ganesh,

Now I have two issues from you.

1. There is some spacing movement in paragraph (something like justification), which is not detected by Compare files. Currently this feature is not supported in Compare Files, we have raised this feature request and forwarded to product management.

2. Showing highlight at wrong position. Looking at the compare result files I can see the issue for sure, will raise another bug with development team regarding this. Please share file1 and file 2 ( if not confidential), it will help us understand and solve the problem.

Thanks,

Hi Ganesh,

Thanks for sharing the files, I created PDFs from InDesign files you shared and compared them (without any crop) using Compare Files. When selecting scanned mode in settings, I get results at expected place, could not reproduce the issue which you mentioned for crop files.

Please share PDFs, cropped as well, so that I can reproduce the issue.

Thanks,

Hi Charu

I used the same application file for creating the 2 pdf. You just create the PDF with crop mark and slug line. Then trim that pdf by removing the crop mark and slug line using crop tool in Acrobat DC and then do the visual compare process.

Thanks

Hi Charu

We are facing some issue in visual compare as listed below

I placed the 2 pdf   [Compare Report] Visual1_withcrop, [Compare Report] Visual1withoutcrop.

Rapidshare - Mobile file sharing with self-destruction & auto encryption

To remove the slug line in pdf we just crop the pdf to trim size. If we do this process and perform  visual compare in Acrobat DC the highlight of pdf compare appear after the 2 lines. Highlight position falls after 2 lines down.

If we do the PDF compare in Acrobat DC without cropping the Slug the highlights shows in the correct position.

There is any possible way to fix this issue.

Thanks

Hi Ganesh,

I have been trying to reproduce the issue mentioned by you, but could not. It will be very difficult to fix any issue which is not reproducible at our end.

I request you again to please provide me with PDFs - original and cropped (not InDesign files), it will help me immensely to reproduce the issue.

Thanks,
