When using the Eraser Tool on a Layer Mask, make sure the Foreground Color in the Tools Panel is set to White to erase the lut.

You can’t erase an adjustment layer. You actually hide the adjustment by painting black on the layer mask. It’s possible that your LUT adjustment layer is missing the layer mask. We can’t tell though becuase your screen capture does not include the layer panel.
