Photoshop files corrupted.

    Hello.

I have discovered that all my Photoshop files have been changed to .psd.jpg . I cannot open theml. Online file convertors do not accept the file extension .psd.jpg. If I save the files  as .psd or .jpg, I still cannot open them. The are just not accepted by any program.

Does anyone know of a software program which can restore the original file extensions back to genuine .psd?

Grateful for any help.

Just rename the original files with a .psd extension and remove the .jpg

DO NOT use a file converter.

Just change the double extension to the correct single extension in explorer.

download software IrfanView, freeware, install.

put shortcut on your desktop.

drag one of the images onto the shortcut.

a window should appear telling the true extension of the image and ask if you want to rename it.

i use this all the time for images sent to me with the the wrong extension.

good luck
