Adobe Acrobat XI Pro electronic signatures files too large

I have Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and I noticed it is an old version.  When I try to send some of my files >5mb it says the files are too big.  Do you need to order a newer version of Adobe Acrobat Pro so it can handle larger files?
