I have been using and love Lightroom Classic for a long time but I let my subscription lapse for a couple of months.  I have now renewed my subscription only to discover this new Lightroom CC, which I have downloaded, but I cannot develop photos in Classic as it is saying that I need to update my subscription!  Does this mean that I can no longer have Classic on its own and have to subscribe to it a part of a package which I can't afford?!  I really don't like the new Lightroom CC!

It sounds like Adobe have confused you (and many others!) into subscribing to the "Lightroom plan", which only includes the new Lightroom CC, when what you wanted was the "Photography plan" which includes real Lightroom "Classic" and Photoshop.

You need to contact Adobe customer care (this is only a user to user forum).
