Deleting one of Two Lightroom versions

I recently downloaded Lightroom Classic CC and as a result I now have  the new Lightroom and also the 2015 lLightroom version

operating on my Mac. Both versions seem to have the same content.

I am considering deleting Lightroom 2015 version however, I want to ensure that I will not create a problem by doing that.

Lightroom Classic CC is not dependent upon any previous version for anything. Once you have converted the catalog and have everything functioning properly, you can safely remove any previous versions of Lightroom. You might want to consider archiving one of the catalogs from the older version just in case you need to convert and start over again.
