png file opened in PS CC is unreadable

This has happened several times now since I upgraded to the latest version. The imported PNG file looks like this

I have the same problem with png.

I tried everything you said and still it won't open.

It seems, you tried to place the PNG?? Or copy&Paste ???

What is if you "only" open your (saved on your computer) PNG?

I tried every option place linked, embedded I even opened it as a separate file the result was the same.

I restarted photoshop and then it worked normal.

Any one of these methods (paste, place, open) should deliver the same results.

What is with all these bugs?!

Go to Preferences > Plug-ins and uncheck these options, then restart Photoshop

Allow Extensions to Connect to the Internet

Turned off (restart) on (restart) YEA!  - seems to reset something - now have both ping and extensions both working properly

Command + Option + Shift > click on Photoshop icon - delete prefs. All Fixed.

I am having this problem too. I get the same type of image to when trying to open any png from a client or coworker. The "fixes" above don't help. Is this an Adobe problem? Another problem I also noticed the pen tool won't work if the canvas is rotated.
