@Adobe - Can you please fix your software?
Every time I open or paste a PNG into a document I get this:
I need to restart photoshop to get it to work properly.
Are you guys serious? Had a much better time with CS6, and bummed that I upgraded.
Please fix your software ASAP.
Go to Preferences > Plug-ins and uncheck these options, then restart Photoshop
Allow Extensions to Connect to the Internet
Load Extensions Panel

And how about your seriousness?
First off this is a user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.
Secondly several threads on the issue seem to exist – have you done a Forum search before posting?
Anyway there is a known bug with pngs with Photoshop 19.1.1
Photoshop CC 19.1: PNG Images Opens with Distortion | Photoshop Family Customer Community
and the work-around is to turn off
Preferences > Plug-Ins > Allow Extensions …
Preferences > Plug-Ins > Load Extension Panels
and restart Photoshop.

What if I want to use the extensions panel? This is an unfortunate workaround.
This is on the tail end of having to figure this out last night when I needed to export and print a document urgently.
Other threads that I looked at did not have this solution posted. I will test it and vote accordingly.
Personally, I believe that we are entitled to software that works properly for the price we pay every month to this monopoly. There are many excellent things about CC, but this type of bug is absurd.

No argument there.
One has to decide if the bug or the work-around are worse individually, the bug-fix is expected with the next update, but there is no date set for that, as far as I know.

Adobe does not have a monopoly on image editing software and with software as complex as Photoshop complete freedom of bugs does not seem to be a realistic option at current.
Naturally the severity of the bugs and the speed with which they are addressed may justify severe criticism …

In CS6, try this:
Uncheck here and then, restart Photoshop
