What file(s) do I give developer for Microsoft HTML Help project?

Well, I'm on this adopted Help project that I converted from WinHelp into Microsoft HTML Help, and I'm finally ready to hand the file(s) to the developer to add to the application so that I can test the help. Do I just give him the .chm file, or are there accompanying files as well? I've only read and heard about the .chm file, but I might be missing something.

Thanks for any help on this!

Hi, Grace,

Ordinarily, you'd just provide the developer with the .chm file.

In the uncommon event that you rather than the developer have created the map file — that is, the file with which context-sensitivity is implemented in the help project — you'd have to provide this file together with your .chm file.

Thanks, Pete! No, we used the app's numbers for our map IDs, so I don't need to give him the map file. I'm used to WebHelp, so it's difficult to get used to just giving a developer one file.
