You need to be more specific than that. What does "look awful" mean, exactly? To what are you comparing it?

Also, did you create these files, or did you get them from somewhere? If you created them, from what application and using what tool?

hello,

thanks for your answer

please look at the screen copies of pdf documents, each is opened,on the left with a free pdf viewer (sumatra), and on the right with acrobat

the documents opened with acrobat are a pain to read !

can't you see it ?

I just want acrobat to let me see the documents as they have been created

if I need an OCR, let there be a button for it

and, as a matter of fact, from quite a number of these documents, I can select and copy text in SUMATRA which means the text is not a picture - so there is no reason at all for ACROBAT to make them look so AWFUL

Is this file on the web? Can you share the link?

If not can you post it in Dropbox or another file sharing service so we can look at it?

It looks like a font issue.

found the solution here :

ADOBE READER DISTORTS DOCUMENTS (Acrobat Reader)

strange that the settings must have changed by themselves as the problem appeared suddenly after several years of use !!!

actually it occurred when I started using win10, just a few days ago, never had the problem in win7...

but it's fixed !

It looks like try67's answer was voted best on Acrobat Users where you found your answer.

try67, is that you or another try67?
