Hello everyone,

I have Lightroom 7.2 on my HP notebook and it works fine. I wanted to try GPU acceleration, and therefore performed a clean installation of the latest driver for my Intel HD 5500. It all went fine, and the OpenGL support is marked as passed. However, whenever I flag the option "Use graphics processor" in the Performance tab of the Preferences, LIghtroom restarts again with the unflagged option, and the message "graphics processor acceleration is disabled".

Could anyone please help?

Here is my system info.

Thank you very much

Paolo

Since LR 7 some of the older cards are not supported anymore - the official specification does NOT reflect this.

In your situation, I'd not care too much about this because the HD5500 would not bring any gain with your resolution, as far as I can tell.

That is because that GPU isn't supported and you won't gain anything by enabling it. In fact LR would probably run slower with it enabled, if it could be enabled.
