CC2018 files open in CC2017 (It didn't work 1 month ago)

Hi there,

Back in December when I was running Creative Cloud 2017 on El Capitain with NO access to the online Creative Cloud updater,  I tried to open a jpg saved in Creative Cloud 2018, it wouldn't open.

Fast forward to now, I'm running Sierra Creative Cloud 2018 WITH access to the online Creative Cloud updater, that same jpg now opens in all of my older photoshops.

Can anyone tell me why? Am I going crazy?!

Install Windows on your Mac made me write thatI believe there is a bug report on the Adobe Feedback site File opem with mess up displays.
