Adjustment brush

Hi all. I am having trouble with my lightrooms Adjustment brush. When i use it on a photo it does not make the dot on the photo, Saying that their has been adjustments made, so i cannot go back and edit the adjustment on the photo cause it does not show me where i have made the adjustments. PLS HELP , this is making my life very difficult.

Is the pin hidden? Try pressing the H key.
