i got light room 6 a year ago but it keeps telling me my trial is up and wont open for editing: also customer support is as good as none exsistant no phone no no help just forums

When you install LR 6 you have to first sign in with an Adobe ID then you have to enter a serial number that is 24 number characters long and starts with 1160.

Do you have a serial number?
