Latest Photoshop opens .png files in some weird format

Hi,

I don't know what happened but after I installed 2018 Photoshop all my .png files are opened in some very weird view (please see attached). JPG and SVG open normally still. Does anyone else have the same issue? or knows how to fix?

Work-around: Turn off

Preferences > Plug-Ins > Allow Extensions …

Preferences > Plug-Ins > Load Extension Panels

and restart Photoshop.

Hi All,

We are happy to announce that the issue with PNG issue should be fixed with the Photoshop CC 2018 (19.1.2) update which is now available.

Please install the update and let us know if you still see this issue.

To update, click Update next to Photoshop CC in the Creative Cloud desktop application.

Just in case, If you don't see the update right away, click the 3 dots in the upper right and choose Check for App Updates. Available updates not listed for Adobe Creative Cloud applications
