Can you set rulers to appear upon opening?

Hi I am having trouble getting my rulers to open every time my illustrator opens. I have found many forms helping with this but I have an apple computer, so I much greatly appreciate someone helping me with this !!!!

You will need to modify the New Document Profiles that you use the most. Go to HD/Users/<yourname>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator (current version)/en_US/New Document Profiles and select the file you wish to modify. The keyboard shortcut to enable Rulers is Cmd(Ctrl)-R. Make any other changes you want and save over the file in the folder listed above. Restart AI and try the new New Document Profile you have changed.
