lightroom cc synching very slow

I added about 250 GB of images or 3000 images to lightroom cc from my external drive. that seemed to go fine-- took a while but after several hours done. now I'm waiting for it to synch all the images and it seems to be taking forever! At this pace it will be a couple weeks before it's done. ant suggestions?

Could you please let us know the exact version of Lightroom CC you are using now? Go to Lightroom CC > help menu > system info.

Also, are you looking to access the synced images to different devices?

Also the files I added were all DNG files already. Not sure if that matters.
