Photoshop and Illustrator cannot be opened because of a problem

Updated AI & PS today on CC. Running Mac OS 10.13.3
After updating, I get these messages when I attempt to launch.

This happened during the last update as well and I was down for 2 days. Why are simple online updates SO problematic???

PLEASE fix this.

Thanks for the advice, which I will try. However, seems like the software engineers could foresee this now that thousands have had the issue. Right now, and pass this on to your bosses, we are actively seeking alternatives to Adobe software based on shitty updates and lost productivity.

The apps won’t launch in order to delete prefs, as you directed. What now??? Last time the problem just fixed itself after two days. WTF?

The suggestions listed only work if the product launches, which it will not do. What is going on with Adobe support. THIS is how we do it????? I am dumbfounded. I have been a user since 1987 and it is the worst I’ve EVER seen it…
