PS CS6, Camera Raw 9.1.1, Nikon D750 and Windows 10

I recently did a clean install of Windows 10.  I had Windows 7 previously.

I have a Nikon D750 and Camera Raw worked fine with Windows 7.  Now PS says it can't open CR files.  I installed CR 9.1.1 and still get the same message.  Windows 10 has all the current updates.  I restarted PS, Bridge and my computer.  Can anyone help me here?

This is urgent because I have work to do!

I hope someone answers!

Thanks, Sharyn

You used this camera raw 9.1.1 installer?

You want the CameraRaw_9_1_1.zip

Camera Raw plug-in installer

Also, have you tried Help>Updates from within photoshop cs6?

Yes, I have a serial number for PS6 Extended.  I used it to reinstall PS after I installed Windows 10 on my computer.  The first thing I did was reinstall PS.  Nothing changed.  I also reinstalled CR 9.11 a second time with the same result.

The CS6 Extended is in English and is for Windows.  A Mac version wouldn't run on my computer.

Did you by chance use Nikon Transfer to get the nefs from camera to computer?

Jeff,

No, I didn't use Nikon software.  I hooked the camera to the computer with the cable and transferred the files, as I have done many times before.  Except when I did it with the Windows 7 operating system, it worked.  I could open the raw files.

If in photoshop cs6 you go to Help>About Plug-In>Camera Raw, what version does it say?

Jeff,

I tried to uninstall CR7.  But it's not separated out in the programs.  I'd have to uninstall and reinstall PS completely and I'd still have the problem because CR7 is in that package.

What to do?

Jeff,

I checked the CR plugin.  Version 7 is installed, which is what came with CS6.  But I installed CR 9.1.1 -- twice.  I was told it was successfully installed.  How do I get PS to recognize it?
