Hi Everyone!

I've had this problem since I got the new MacBook Pro:

If I'm working on PS and I switch to another software to do something else (let's say google chrome to check my email) and come back to PS, it happens sometimes that the brush tool stops working properly (also the lasso tool sometimes).

When this happens I have to restart PS and then the problem is solved, but it can happen many times in a day. This thing is driving me mad.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Do you guys know how to solve it?

Cheers!

Could be video driver-related. It hasn't happened to me but I'm on a Windows system; I know you guys on Macs don't have much options when it comes to updating drivers but have you tried that yet?

You could try resetting Photoshop preferences

Failing that try re-installing PS using the Adobe Cleaner Tool

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

Hey Ged,

thanks for replying.

I've tried what you suggested, but unfortunately, I still have the same problem.

Thanks anyway!

I am having the same problem.  All of the sudden I can't use my Brush anymore. Just doesn't work.  I need to quite everything and restart PS and I am back in business.  Very troubling.  This has happened a few times.  I have the lastest iMac full spec w. Wacom & Logitech MX Master.  Not having problems in other programs at this time.
