Lightroom 6 updated, now I am having issues

Ever since I updated my lightroom 6 library with the latest update, my develop module doesn't work and I the window open and re-opens and then quits unexpectedly and now I can't even use lightroom! I need help.

Please state the version NUMBER of Lightroom that you now have installed. We need the NUMBER and not words like "latest".

Please state the version NUMBER of your operating system.

When the Develop Module doesn't work, is there is an error message? If so, please quote the exact complete unedited word-for-word error message.

The last update for LR 6 was released in December of 2017, 3 months ago.

Please state, as asked above, the exact version number of LR. Open LR go to the Help menu and select System info. Post the first 5 lines of the window that comes up.

One point that you can try is to deactivate the GPU support. Possible that's help.
