Error 86::1

I recently upgraded to After Effects CC 2018, a problem I have found is that when I try to import any .gif to the program it gives me an error and will not import the .gif. Any suggestions on how I can get it to accept the .gifs? Also note I do not have Photoshop? Not sure if this is a settings problem or not but I need it solved, thanks.

I don't know how to solve the error, but if you want to use of .gif file in AE, it'll work:

I think there is no way else you convert it to a movie. so you have to use a video converter and drag it in, and then change it to any video format. but if you want to save it as a gif again, you have to export it to media encoder and there change it to gif extension:

and scroll down to set the fps:
