After Effects Error:could not convert Unicode characters ( 23 :: 46 )

I am using adobe After Effects 2018 and I tried to open a lot of old projects were made in cs5 or else and  it gives me this message error
is there any solution??

Without knowing what specifically is going on inside the project and critical info like system languages, fonts used etc. nobody can tel lyou much.

system language is English of course

but I don`t know what inside the project

What helps me in these cases is not opening the project, but importing it into a new one. The error messages  - The Lazy Way of Programmers to Handle the Unexpected - tend to be more informative.

Hi, I have this same issue and cannot find a solution. The error appears everytime I attempt to open After Effects. It then closes. Any help is appreciated.
