1. Re: Slide Locking (to prevent user from "skipping")
Captiv8r Jan 29, 2009 7:04 AM (in response to NathanStryker)Welcome to our community, Nathan
Unless Captivate 4 has some scripting that allows it the way you accomplish it is by not using a Playback Control. With no Playback Control for the user to use it becomes impossible to skip a slide. You would then either simply allow the slide to proceed to the next slide or you would provide a Button timed so that it wasn't available until the slide played through completely.

NathanStryker Jan 29, 2009 7:47 AM (in response to Captiv8r)Thanks Captiv8r-
Forgive my newness to this program, I understand what you are saying about adding a "timed" button to advance, but I dont know how to turn off the navigation bar at the bottom. I would assume this feature would be a slide property, but that is not what I'm finding there....

3. Re: Slide Locking (to prevent user from "skipping")
Captiv8r Jan 29, 2009 7:54 AM (in response to NathanStryker)Hi again
Typically the playback controls are an all or nothing situation. If you are using Captivate 3, someone familiar with programming Flash could create a widget that you would drop into a slide to turn the playback controls off for only a single slide.
But if you are using Captivate 4, there is a new scripting capability. Actually, one of the Community Experts here posted something earlier in the week that shows you how to do it. I'll look up the thread and post the link below in case you are using Captivate 4.

4. Re: Slide Locking (to prevent user from "skipping")
LyonLover Jan 29, 2009 8:34 AM (in response to Captiv8r)Hi Nathan,
Click Project>Skin and there is a a checkbox that says "show playback control". Try unchecking that. It will hide the playback control from your published project. It will be from the whole project though, not just the slide.
