I don't understand the difference between full size and medium size Jpeg Previews under the file handling panel in Preferences.  If I choose medium size, will the final output of my jpeg be compromised?

It affects how large the photo can be viewed in the Library Module Loupe mode without having a delay while the computer blows up the photo further. The thumbnails probably won't show a difference. If you show the photo in Loupe mode (so it fills the center of the Lightroom window), then full size previews will show up with higher quality than medium; and with a medium sized preview Lightroom may take some extra time to temporarily create a full size preview to display it at higher quality.

The previews are for displaying the photo in Lightroom's Library Module. They do not affect the quality of the exported photo from Lightroom.

Thanks.  Can you explain the difference between medium and large? I don't see a difference when I change them.
