The serial number I enter is invalid... and yet it's the only one I have.

What do I do when I've had Photoshop for years and when I purchased a new computer it asked for my serial number to validate my ownership. I put it in and it says it's invalid.

But it's the serial number from the sleeve of the disc!

Help.

Where did you purchase Photoshop from and did you register it with your Adobe Account

I purchased it from a MacStation in BC Canada about 10 years ago and I have no idea if I registered it but I'm guessing I did? Perhaps not. Either way... shouldn't my serial number still work?

You should be able to check in your Adobe Account to see if it's registered, go to Plans and Products

I think I know what might be the problem.

I cannot get access to Adobe Canada. It immediately switches me over to Adobe SEA (south east asia). And my version was purchased in Canada.

Is there a way for me to get a download for Canada?

I realize this isn't helpful at all... but I have no idea what version of photoshop I have. I'll get a better photo of the disc from Canada and update this tomorrow. It's evening in Thailand and so I'll update this in about 12 hours. Thanks for all you help so far!

Ok good news. I was just able to register my serial number AND it says I have version 10 of Adobe Photoshop Extended

Looks like it was CS3

Activation servers for CS3 have been shutdown, you will need to take a look here for more info about what to do

one last update: CS3 is not supported by High Sierra so after all the time to download it... it can't be loaded

The disc is in Canada and I'm currently living in Thailand so I'm not sure which version but it was working on my MacBook Pro before I purchased this current (new) one a month ago. I've always used macs... and so it is the mac version.

I have pictures of the sleeve (the numbers on the sleeve) if that will help.
