Hi guys,
Years ago i purchased Adobe Photoshop CS5 on a CD. It runs on my mac since then. Now, i wanted to install it on my CD-drive-free laptop and downloaded it from here:Can you transfer from desktop to laptop? But it did not work out very well. I get to open the instructions but thats it. I did search the net but couldnt find anything helpful. And it always says CC on the linked pages. I dont use CC. Anyone an idea where i stuck? Thx!
Hi David,
You can download the CS5 installation files here: Download Adobe Creative Suite 5 products
If you're needing the CS 5.5 versions or other versions, you can find links to the appropriate suite here: Adobe software and other downloads
Let us know if you have further questions.
Regards,
Pete

Hi,
What operating system are you running on your CD-free Mac? If it's Sierra 10.12 or newer, older installers may not behave as expected. There is a workaround here: Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra) (scroll down for CS5).
This blog is also helpful for installing previous versions of Adobe programs on newer Mac OS: https://blog.conradchavez.com/2017/09/25/macos-10-13-high-sierra-will-adobe-software-work/#preCC
If none of that addresses the issue, can you be a little clearer on what exactly is happening? Posting a screenshot of the point at which you get stuck will help.
