Gif won't play AT ALL in Muse

Hey,

I have this button that I want to animate when the mouse hovers over it. However I found out that gifs just won't play at all in Muse. I've tried so many things.

This is the button I want animated:

gifje2.gif

The first frame is just the house with all the walls and doors removed. When it hovers I want it to move like this, one time. But when I just place gif and then preview the page nothing moves at all.

Am I missing something, why won't it work? Can't you play gifs in Muse?

thanks!

Ellis

It may be a problem with that GIF. It didn't work for me either until I opened it in Photoshop and saved it again. Also, does it need to be that large? It's almost A4 at 300dpi!

Preview the page in a browser not in Muse itself and it should be animated.

that's weird because it works for me in my browser here. I work on a mac, maybe an issue with that? How did you save it again? I just save it with the 'save for web' function. Is there a different way to save a gif?

And no it doesn't need to be that large, I didn't realize that!

I did the same, Save for Web. I reduced the size as well.
