Please explain what you would have expected instead.
The unclosed subPathItems you created would seem to logically result in the selections you showed.

Actually wanted to cut extra portion out of canvas shown in red mark
Used Rectangular Marquee Tool
Used intersection with selection
Path shaped changed.
Is there any other method which i can use without affecting path shape to cut out extra portion out of canvas.

Path shaped changed.
The Path did not change and a Selection is not a Path, so you might be confusing terminology here.
What are the Paths really for?

Actually next step after selection what i was going to do was 'make path of a selection ' so i wrote path shape changed. But shape changes as soon as we make selection.

It's never a good idea to mix open paths with selections (and futher to try to intersect or combine this combinations).
And a little joke

instead of path editing - IMO working with pattern is much more better

This is exactly what i want. But you have different strokes for both colour. I want single stroke for both.

A four-colored-symbol is closer to your original.
But there is no problem. Join the (shape-) paths for the 'strokes'.

When you make a selection of the path, even though the path goes outside the document bounds the selection won't go outside the document bounds, so there is really no need to use the retangular marquee tool on the selection or to actually cut the path that goes outside the document bounds.
After you make a selection of the path, just deselect the path in the Paths palette and you'll see the selection doesn't extend outside the document bounds.

What are you trying to achieve ultimately anyway?
And might Illustrator (or some other path-oriented program) not be a more prudent choice of application for the task?

OK, I am not sure I am understanding your issue. When you get to where you want a path element to end, hit the Escape key, and then carry on with the next bit.
If you have CC 2018, try using the new Curvature Pen tool. It is made for exactly this sort of situation, and makes it a cinch to make perfectly smooth curves.
If you are intending to stroke the paths, then you would probably be best doing it with two paths

I see you are making an array of them. There's no reason why you can't combine the paths into one. If you have used two paths, use the Direct selection tool and drag across the small path. Ctrl c to copy, and paste into the main path with Ctrl v. Don't merge and combine the paths though, or you'll loose the interior points.

The »hole« in the spirally part would still apply.
But the whole thing looks like it’s about creating a kind of pattern.

The Stroke of a Shape Layer works without closing only if there is but one subPathItem, though.
If one adds another subPathItem bot get closed.
But as mentioned above Illustrator might be a better choice for illustrating with Paths.

Sure i will try hitting ESC key. Im not using CC2018 so curvature pen tool may not be usefu.
