Are Adobe DC PDF Forms usable by anyone or only those who also have Adobe DC?

Can others who do not have Adobe DC use and fill out forms created by someone who utilized Adobe DC? Or can only those who have Adobe DC edit PDF's, create forms, etc.?

Before purchasing this program, I want to make sure that I make a PDF into a form, that others who do not have this program can truly fill out this PDF form I have created.

Thanks!

As far as I know, entering data in form fields may be done with the free Reader - Reader downloads https://get.adobe.com/reader

Editing a form requires Acrobat

Hi Jessical,

The PDF form created in Adobe Acrobat DC does not require to be filled in the same application.

You can simply create the PDF form and sent it to the users.

If the users wish they can use  Adobe Acrobat Reader DC which a free software, to fill the PDF form.

It is not necessary to have the application to fill the PDF form created in Acrobat DC.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Just to clarify, there is no need to use any program(s) to fill out a PDF form created in Adobe Acrobat DC?

Thank you all for your help!

Of course you must use some program to fill out a PDF form created in Acrobat. You can either use Acrobat or the free Reader or any third party program that truly supports the PDF standard.

Note that some alleged PDF readers such as Apple Preview under MacOS and iOS have been known to corrupt PDF forms.
