lightroom wont import my photos

i recently got a new camera (Canon 6d mkii) and my lightroom will not import and photos from it. ive tried tethering it as well as inserting the sd card in my laptop. I use too shoot on a Nikon and wondering if the brand switch is affecting it. Lightroom is updated and works fine for my Nikon. please help

And what version NUMBER of Lightroom do you have?    (Go Menu:  Help > System Info)

my lightroom is currently at. Version CC 2015.8 (1099473)

Hi kyleg1248,

Please update to the latest version of Lightroom> Classic CC 7.3. The camera you're using is not supported in version CC 2015.8/.6.8.
