Some presets accidentally changing profile from   "Adobe Standard BW" to color "Adobe Standard" even if its not in presset.

When ist the preset "Adobe Monochrome", then it works fine,...

Have you the same problem?

Edit: all "non color" presets on the left side are affected - grain, noise reduction, lens correction, dehaze, sharpening, etc...

This solves the problem with changing the “legacy” Adobe Standard BW profile to color when its combined with other presets (for now):

1. use one of your old B&W presets (Adobe Standard BW profile)
2. change profile to one of 17 profiles in BW section
3. set amount of profile effect to zero (0%)
4. update your preset

Yes, my old sharpen preset and the split-tone preset I use on my B&Ws now convert the image back to colour. Updating the preset settings or creating a new one doesn't appear to fix it.

Having a two presets with the same settings to handle colour and mono images isn't an acceptable solution.

I had updated with "Treatment and Profile" explicitly unset, but that doesn't do the trick.

Hi All,

This problem should be resolved in the 7.3.1 update of Lightroom that went live today.

To update Lightroom Classic CC to 7.3.1, click "Update" in the Creative Cloud desktop application next to Lightroom Classic CC. See Update Creative Cloud apps

Thanks for your patience and cooperation.

Regards,

Akash

yes still there

new preset is there in library mode but not in develop mode.

Saving alle Lightroom presets with catalog shows new preset not in camera raw but in folder "Lightroom-Einstellungen/settings" and "Lightroom-Einstellungen" lies parallel to the catalog.

What a mess!!

Here is another discussion about this bug: Lightroom 7.3: When changing presets the profile resets back to Adobe standard, even if profile isn'...

For example:

1. Start with a raw image

2. Apply Adobe Standard B&W Profile

3. Apply a vignette preset (left side presets)

4. Image changes to color Adobe Standard.

What a mess. This makes all the mod presets that don't define a BW profile revert to color. It's like Adobe shipped this update with all these changes to presets but no one even bothered to check to make sure it worked?

The 0% profile tip does allow the file to remain black and white.

However, it appears to reset all the black and white sliders, despite those sliders not being defined when you preset is saved.

It's true that If you make a preset for only exposure and select the treatment to also save BW1 into the preset at 0% it works on some images. However if the prest you before is from before 7.3 amd defines tradicional black and white settings and as such applies the Monochrome profile. It will convert to the new profle at 0% but will reset all sliders to zero in the process taking away the core B&W adjustmnet you have made.
