Photoshop CS6 can't open CR2 Pictures from Canon G7X. Worse I can't converted them to DNG. I downloaded the last version but it didn't change the problem. (grey circle or pale in the list). Thank you for help

When you point to the source files for the dng converter, just point to the folder, not the cr2 files inside.

Is this the (Powershot) G7 X Mark II? The G7 X had support under Camera Raw 8.7 but the G7 X Mark II had support under Camera Raw 9.6. Photoshop CS6's Camera Raw support ended at 9.1.1.

That still doesn't explain why the DNG Converter won't work (as it should). I'm assuming you're using DNG Converter 10.3?

I did as usual. It’s not the first time I use the converter. Now there is a change since the last time. Before I used a low cost cable to download the pictures that didn’t work after a few times. I then bought a Canon cable. With the lost cost one there was no problem !!

Hello, I have OS10.14 running Photoshop CS6. It wouldn't open CR2 files so I downloaded the DNG converter (v9.1.1). I point to a folder to convert but after spinning for awhile, it says the Converter can't open CR2 files. My camera is a Canon T7i (800D).

LATEST

You need at least dng converter 9.10 or newer.

9.1.1 is an older version.

The dng converter 12.1 should work:
