What are your Glow settings? Take a screen cap - show us values and keyframes if there are any.

You have not provided any useful info such as actual effect settings, where it's applied and so on. That and of course simply disable GPU acceleration for effects in the prefs.

Did you disable GPU acceleration in AE's Project Settings?
