Hi Folks

Usually we want the displacement map to move animate etc...   I want to do the opposite and I cant figure out how.  I have a displacement map, I have an image, I want to keep the displacement stationary and move the image instead and have any part of the image that passes over the displacement to be thus displaced.

anyone know how to do this ?

Thanks.

You have to pre-compose the layer that is moving before applying Displacement Map.

Who's to say a displacement map has to be the same size as the comp?  That's what is known in the trade as a hint.
