After doing most recent update, all my sliders etc have wildly slow response time

I updated a brand new computer as well as my current desktop and am finding it is SOO draggy. For example I click a slider and it takes so long to process my change, like 5-10 seconds. No real time adjustments. It's making editing impossible right now.  Is there a fix to this issue?  I have reinstalled the 2015 version because I have a session I have to get done today, but I prefer many of the new features of the update so I'd like to get it fixed asap. Thank you!

Check that the GPU option didn't get turned on by default on the newer version of LR. If it did turn it off and test.
