All of a sudden my xmp files are being saved with the blue Photoshop logo instead of the usual xmp lable. The tiffs I save work as usual but the xmp file usually with my raw files are now blue Photoshop logos. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

You can’t go back to no app. Just don’t click on it. Though opening in Notepad seems pretty useful to me.

Do ACR or Lightroom still recognise the XMP files and honour the saved settings?

Yes, just the icon has changed. However, because notepad is a program, it will run if clicked on.

Say what?

What is your »Open with«-setting of xmp-files (or the Windows equivalent)?
