Curvature Pen - Double Click Not Working

I have used the curvature pen extensively with no problem. Suddenly, the double click to change from curved to straight line will not work. I can only get curved lines. I found a work around by using the alt key and then clicking once but I prefer not to have to use it. Any Ideas?

I have the same problem today after the update. Has anyone found a solution..

I have that problem all of a sudden, was there a solution?

I figured it out - you have to hold down the option button when you click (for some reason).
