Running CS6 and cc2018 together, at the same time.

Hi

I've got both versions, running on a Win 10 machine. They will open individually but not together. It'd be handy to have one version processing, say, RAW to JPEG while I edit on the other version.

Is it possible?
Cheers

Hi FoTenX,

You can launch/use two different versions of Premiere Pro at the same time.

However, Premiere Pro CS6 is not tested & designed for Win 10. You may face trouble using CS6 on Win 10.

Thanks,

Kulpreet Singh

Are you in need to edit with CS6? Because otherwise you could render your footage with Mediaencoder while making further edits in Premiere CC2018 (You can do this by not clicking export but "Queue"Export from Premiere Pro to Adobe Media Encoder CC - YouTube ).

No, I don't shoot video. I shoot stills in RAW then convert to JPEG using a particular add-in through an Action. I am a sports photographer and typically end up with around 1000 image files in a days shooting. Sometimes media outlets want samples to publish before I have finished processing...so it would be handy to have available one version doing the processing via an Action while on the other able to do editing. Doesn't really mater which version does what task as my processing and edits are mundane and easily accomplished with either version.
I have both versions loaded but when one is open, the other will not open.

If you have Lightroom, you can set up a watchfolder via the auto import.

I've read that it's possible to create a script for bridge to run Photoshop, as well.

Look into those options.

How did you do that? When I try one opens and the other will not.
